Today, we are celebrating the new Alex Syberia Designs release called, “Thank You for Being My Friend.” If you haven’t seen the blog hop in my prior post, check out the awesome inspiration there, too!

For the Instagram Hop, I’m sharing this fun giraffe card that features the new set, “Giraffe-ic” stamps and dies. I’m also using the Classic Foliage die set. These sets are already available to purchase.

Here are links to the sets I’m using:

Love You  Giraffe Card

This 5″ X 7″ handmade greeting features a large peek-through window on the front panel.  The tall friends are nestled within tall luscious blades of greenery, bright blossoms, textural greenery in white and a soft aqua blue watercolor wash for the sky.

To create the scene, I stamped, colored and die cut the elements from the Giraffe-ic Friends stamp set. I colored the elements using the following Copic Sketch Marker colors:

  • Greens (foliage):  YG67, YG23, YG03, YG00
  • Oranges/Browns/Yellows: (Giraffes and flowers): YR27, YR24, YR23, Y19, E57, E59, YR07, YR68, YR61, Y38
  • Pinks/Reds: RV17, RV09, RV55, RV02, R29, R14, R81 (giraffe ears)
  • Blues/Greens: BG49, BG13, BG11, B00

Inside the large circular window, you get a glimpse of a whimsical sky filled with blue clouds accented with sweet red hearts, a pretty backdrop to these handsomely tall and vibrant giraffes. For a clean finish, I backed all of the images on the front that showed through the circle to the inside, in white cardstock to make it look attractive on both sides. It’s easy to do by die cutting an extra shape of each and attaching to the back.  Small hearts, more clouds and the sentiment finish the inside.
