Greetings! It’s time for new digital stamps from RAM Stamps, illustrated by the talented, Rachelle Ann Miller. This month’s stamps are for the pet lovers! I am a huge puppy dog fan so I naturally wanted to create a project using the Puppy Love digital stamp. In addition, I fell in love with the birdies, too. How cute is this little girl with her feathered friends?! It’s called Birdy Love. There’s more stamps in this Pet Love collection, too!

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with 80lb smooth white cardstock and cut a A7 card (10″ X 7″)  and scored down the middle. I layered a 5″ wide  X  6″ long piece of Honey Bee Stamps gingham pattern paper over 1/2 of the flat base and cut these fabulous arched double windows from the front panel section. I also cut another set of the doors from warm gray cardstock, too. I attached the gray window frames to the white frames for extra strength. I LOVE this interactive Arched French Doors die from Simon Says Stamp. It can be used as a window or a door.

Since my Honey Bee Stamps  gingham paper is a 6″ X 6″ piece, I added two 1/8″ strips of white and red at the bottom of the 5″ X 6″ panel piece and then added the remaining 1″ X 6″ scrap piece of  this double-sided paper to the bottom with the alternative side check showing.  The phrase I used, “Have a beautiful day” is from the Honey Bee Stamps, Squeeze the Day stamp set and coordinating dies.

Inside this A7 card, I printed out this sweet digital stamp called, Birdy Love on the same 80lb white cardstock. I cropped it down to a 5″ X 7″ panel that I eventually glued inside the card base (after I colored the image).  I colored the illustration, adding hand drawn roses on her little dress to match her bold striped purse and tights. For the background, I created a sky-like look by blending Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to create imperfect clouds. I made sure not to blend any ink over the Birdy Love artwork. This is quick and easy. A few specks / markings in the air using a black fine-tip marker adds a bit of whimsy. Lastly, I stamped the phrase, “Enjoy your day” in the corner to finish the inside.
