Hello fellow crafters! Bobbi Lemanski here with a floral card for a friend. In the latest Honey Bee Stamps release, “Simply Spring,” there is this Lovely Layers: Dogwood Blooms vine that is just gorgeous. I decided to make my blossoms in lavender and showcase it with the new Bunny Basket. My friend has a birthday later this month and she loves lavender. This will be the perfect card for her. I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size. Now for the details…
To Make this 5″ X 7″ greeting card, I started by embossing a 5″ X 7″ white piece of cardstock using the Dogwood Blooms Embossing Folder . The embossing folder is A2 sized so it leaves a plain, white border around the sides and bottom edge. I lightly added color to the embossed design using a blending brush and Distress Oxide Inks in Milled Lavender and Salvaged Patina. I gave it a light touch, allowing white to show through. I overlapped the inks in places, too. I stamped the “Thinking of You” sentiment at the bottom right of the panel where the panel is not embossed. I used Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. With the background complete, I moved on to the floral basket design.
I die cut the two pieces that make up the bunny basket from an aqua cardstock. I attached them together using foam dots. I inked the edges using Salvaged Patina and my Detail Blender brush to shadow the basket design. I also used my Gelly Roll white gel pen to add highlights to the embossed design to make it stand out.
For the dogwood branches and leaves, I used a light, warm gray cardstock and colored the die cut branches with a Copic W4 Marker to make the stems darker than the leaves. All of the blossoms were die cut from a lavender cardstock. I colored the centers with a darker V04 and V12 Copic Sketch Marker violet colors and added dark gray centers that I dotted with white ink using my Gelly Roll white gel pen. The entire stems, leaves, branches and center were assembled and glued together using Bee Creative Precision Tip Glue. The fully-assembled stems were added to the basket and the entire bouquet was attached to the embossed background.
Lastly, I stamped the “sweet friend” sentiment in black on white cardstock and die cut it. I attached the words to the card using foam dots.
