Hi friends. It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a fun card for those unbelievably, wonderful people in your life. I love a good play on words and this card does just that. It focuses on the “bee-leaf” that cards can be thoughtful and a little fun and silly, too. I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:
Happy Plants stamp set and coordinating dies
You’re A Keeper stamp set and coordinating dies
Bee Hive stamp set and coordinating dies
The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.
Leafy Greeting Card
For this greeting card, I stamped and cut out a tall plant, a trendy planter, and a stand from the Happy Plants stamp set and coordinating dies. I colored the images using Copic colors in
- Plant: YG00, YG03, YG17, YG23, and YG67
- Pot: YR00, YR07, YR61, YR65, YR68, and YR68
- Wood stand: E49, E57, and E55
I also stamped the word “You’re” (part of the “You’re so kind” phrase) from the You’re A Keeper stamp set and coordinating dies. The bee is from the Bee Hive stamp set and coordinating dies. Lastly, I die cut the black letters to spell the “un-bee-leaf-able” word and added black gem stickers in place of hyphens. Everything was positioned and glued in place using a T-ruler and glass mat to keep things all straight and perfect! Letters can be hard to place straight so I highly recommend using a T-ruler!
You’re the Best Gift Tag
To make the coordinating tag, I used another plant and phrase from the same sets used for the greeting above. The same Copic greens and browns were used to color in the image, too.
I think this would be fun to hang on a plant for a “thank you” gift. It matches the card. Both projects are easy to make and require minimal coloring, too!
