I’m sharing another card using a product from the Spellbinders Stylish Ovals Collection April release. I received three products from the collection to share with you. I’ll be using the following sets over the next few days:
My card today features the Stitched Floral Flip Frame for the floral design and Stylish Oval Birthday Wishes for the phrase. It measures 5″ X 7″ in size. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card front and card base. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. Here’s the details.
The Stitched Floral Flip Frame flowers are designed to be stitched with embroidery floss, but I thought the flowers were pretty without the stitches so I kept them unstitched. I love the dotted detail on the edges that allow another color to show through. For the greenery, I cut the stems and leaves from black cardstock. The flowers were cut from red, yellow and a aqua/teal cardstock. The flowers were glued together and attached to the black stems/leaves design.
For the front panel, I splattered black watercolor paint over the front white panel and let it dry. I attached two of the frames, flipping one and leaving room for a phrase between the two. I stamped a phrase from the Stylish Oval Birthday Wishes stamp set. I added a drop of yellow Pearl Pen in the center of the daisy-like flowers. Lastly, I added some accent black dot using black Pearl Pen to to complete the card.
