Hi Honey Bee fans! I’m sharing a new set from the Adventure Awaits release by Honey Bee Stamps. It’s called Dad’s Garage and is perfect for the motorcycle lover. I come from a family of motorcyclists so I’m super excited to have this set. In fact, this card will be given to my brother next week, on his birthday. I’m using the following products on this card:
Dad’s Garage stamp set and Honey Cuts dies
Take a Ride stamp set and Honey Cuts dies
The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started by ink blending the Diamond Plate Stencil on black cardstock using my blender brush and Brilliant White opaque ink. This pattern created the floor to Dad’s Garage! I stamped the Garage images in black, colored them using Copic Sketch Markers and cut them out using the dies. I wanted the background to look like a garage door so I added white “planks” (smudged up a bit with ink to make them look a bit aged and dirty) to the top allowing a little black to show through.
I positioned the motorcycle, signs, gas and oil cans and pump in the scene. I used foam tabs to make the motorcycle stand out from the background. I added a phrase from the Take a Ride stamp set and Honey Cuts dies.
I stamped a few phrases and an image from the two stamp sets to finish out the inside of the card. You can shop the entire Honey Bee Stamps Adventure Awaits release here. If you decide to place an order, please use the links in this post so that Honey Bee knows which ideas inspired you!
