Hello crafty friends. It’s Bobbi here and I have a quick card to share today. Honey Bee Stamps offers the most wonderful pattern papers with each release and the latest release, Adventure Awaits, is no exception. The designs in this Adventure Awaits 6″ X 8-1/2″ Paper Pad are beautiful. From mountain views and pine trees to floral frames and tree slices, there’s so many wonderful designs to use when you need to make a card, especially a quick card! I am using the following products for this handmade card:

Adventure Awaits 6″ X 8-1/2″ Paper Pad

Lovely Layers: Spring Greenery Honey Cuts Dies

Lovely Layers: Seashore Honey Cuts dies

Big Time Kindness stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I used two pieces of pattern paper. The white and black background paper reminds me of birch tree bark. The other piece is this beautiful shield shape design with leaves, feathers and flowers arranged around it. I hand cut this design and attached it to the background pattern piece using foam tabs.

I wanted to create more dimension on the front of this card so I cut three different leaves using the Lovely Layers: Spring Greenery Honey Cuts Dies and some grass from the Lovely Layers: Seashore Honey Cuts dies and attached them over the printed florals. I added Pearl Pen bronze-colored drops around the shield’s perimeter to look like nail heads.

Next, I tucked and glued some crinkled seam binding in a warm grey/brown color on both sides of the shield for more texture. The seam tape has a rougher, more organic look to match the textures of the card. I stamped and cut the “you’re amazing” sentiment using the Big Time Kindness stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies and attached the phrase with foam tabs. I attached the front panel to a white card base to complete the card. This is a quick card to make, but the results are so beautiful with these pattern papers!
