My card features these new release items:

Chic Roses Layering Dies Set

You Are Loved Die Set

Trendy Pattern Stencil Set

My card below measures 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope. I used 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card fronts and card bases. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. Here’s the details.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I stenciled the background using three colors of Ranger Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen, Carved Pumpkin, and Broken China. I used blender brushes to apply the ink. While the background dried, I worked on the Chic Roses.

For the roses, I used three shades of orange and ivory to make the layered petals. I went dark (bottom) to light (top) even though a real rose typically goes light to dark. You can do either! I added a 1/16″ foam tab between two layers to make the roses more dimensional. I applied Carved Pumpkin ink to some layers around the edges to create a gradient of orange, finishing with a orange-cream and then a white layer at the very top. I used Speckled Egg and Shabby Shutters on the leaves to make them more of a blue-green v. traditional green-colored leaf. I like how it blends well with the background.

I attached the roses and leaves to the front of the card. I die cut the “You are Loved” sentiment from a teal cardstock and attached it to the lower right corner of the card front. I attached some soft, orange-cream pearl gem stickers around the flowers to finish the card front. Finally, I attached the front to a white card base.
