Watercolor Flower Magic!

After receiving my Lindy’s Stamp Gang powders, I got busy trying them out and using them together. I made a number of samples and had so much fun doing it. Here’s a look at these amazing powders and spray. They explode with colors and the vibrancy (even after they are fully dry) is so amazing. These are deep pigmented colors that do not disappoint.

Water activates the powders and MAGIC really happens! Just look at the bursts of colors in these powders. Each powder is unique and offers different surprises when used. Some have more varied color and some are just deeply pigmented offering gorgeous colors. Mixt them together for more looks and variety. My samples were made using these colors:

Tea & Crumpets Shakers 2.0
Crumpet Crumbs
Pinkies Up Pink
Cheerio Cherry
Pass the Jam, Jane
Dunka Biscuit Blue Green
Lizzy’s Cuppa Tea Turquoise
London Summer Sage
Spill the Tea Turquoise
Butter the Bread Blue
Have a Sonce Heather
Shimmer Sprays – 2
Cream Brulee Cream Shimmer Spray
Saltwater Taffy Shimmer Spray

Some closeups… Notice that the blue has sparkly shimmers of jade green and look at the yellows, greens and blues in the second one. It’s so fun to watch these powders create magic!

I totally love the last color sample with all the bits of color so I chose that one to use with the Watercolour Flowers stamps and coordinating dies for my featured 5″ X 7″ card. The sentiment is from the Self Care Sentiments stamp set and coordinating dies. I used the light aqua sample for the background for these contemporary florals.

To make this card, I stamped the flowers in black over the Lindy’s Magical Powders sample piece. I used a separate sample piece in blue for the leaves.  I die cut the flowers and leaves and arranged them on the aqua background piece I created. I used foam tabs to pop up a few of the flowers. Gem stickers in blues and greens accent the floral swag. I stamped, cut, and attached the sentiment from the Self Care Sentiments stamp set and coordinating dies.

To finish the card, I used my black marker to add a few extra accent lines to help enhance and balance the floral composition. It gives it a more artistic, contemporary look which is perfect with these flowers.
