I’m not a lover of real mice, but I sure love these adorable Merry Mice by Alex Syberia Designs. It’s Bobbi Lemanski with a holiday card filled with joy and happiness… oh and some very busy mice! My card measures 5″ X 7″ and is made from 80lb Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock for the card base. I’ve also create a coordinating tag below, too!

Merry Mice Holiday Greeting

To create this card, I stamped all the mice, tree, gifts, ornament and ladder on white cardstock. I colored all the images using my Copic Sketch Markers. I used the following colors, keeping the card in a traditional red/green and white color scheme.

  • Yellow-Greens: YG00, YG03, YG17, YG23 and YG67
  • Reds: R00, R20, R14, R17, R24, R27, R29
  • Warm Grays: W00, W01, W02, W03, W05
  • Browns: E55, E57, E59

Once all the images were colored and cut using the coordinating dies, I worked on the background design.  I used the Magic Stars die. to create a starry backdrop for these mighty little mice. At the top of the cover die cut piece, I stamped a row of mistletoe branches and colored them in greens. I used Pearl Pen in red to add berries to the branches. I attached a piece of red cardstock behind the star openings and then attached the layered piece to my white card base. I added two 1/8″ strips of green cardstock to the top and bottom of the layered band and then assembled the scene to the front. A few of the images were attached with foam dots for dimension. Lastly, I stamped two sentiments below the bottom green strip.

Merry Mice Holiday Tag

This cute little tag uses all the same “ingredients” as the card above does with a few more colors thrown in like blue and yellow.  I also used the “joy” die for a sweet and simple sentiment at the top.

I added a little baker’s twine in red and white to top off this cute hand cut tag. How fun would it be to add this tag to a gift with this coordinating card?! Happy Holidays!
