Enjoy the Little Things Card

M featured card showcases the following new products by Simon Says Stamp:

The Little Things stamps and coordinating dies

Bubble Flower and Leaves Die

My card measures 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card front and card base. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. I also like to use foam squares to create more dimension on my cards. My white Gelly Roll Pen is my go-to for adding any white highlights. Here’s the details.

To create this 5″ X 7″ card, I die cut the Bubble Flower and Leaves Die from a 5″ X 7″ white card front. I glued a piece of yellow cardstock behind the floral opening to let it show through. This will be my sun shining over the retail street. Next, I stamped, die cut and colored the row of buildings using the The Little Things stamps and coordinating dies. I used Copic Markers to color all the retail buildings and apartment building. I hand-drew in some foliage in the window planters to make it extra cute! In addition to the village, I also stamped, die cut and colored the cute animal with the bag of groceries. I drew in a striped sweater on the animal for extra cuteness.

I attached the buildings to the card front, placing it over the “yellow sun” opening. I secured the character over the buildings using a foam squares to make it stand out a bit more from the street scene.  I stamped the sentiment from the same The Little Things stamps set. I added small black dots around the sentiment and some shading under the character and street scene using a C3 Copic Marker.

I added some shading using a Y19 Copic Marker and some white dots using My white Gelly Roll Pen to the flowery sun. The entire card front was attached to a white card base made from 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock.
