..Hello! I’m back with a fun summer card using new products from the Brass and Bliss Craft Co. Waves and Wins May release. I’m using the following products:

🦜Tropical Birds and Leaves dies

🍹 Mai Tai dies

✏️ Just A Note stamps

These products pair so well together on this 5″ X 7″ card I made. Here’s the details.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with a white card base and and front panel made from Neenah 80lb white cardstock. On the front panel, I splashed on watercolor ink for the background in pinks and yellows. I set the panel aside to dry while I worked on the die cuts.

I die cut the birds, leaves and blossoms from the 🦜Tropical Birds and Leaves dies and the drink, umbrella and straw using the 🍹 Mai Tai dies. These sets are so fun together and really add the tropical touch. I used Distress Oxide Ink in yellows to make the beverage including Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade. The red cherry was shaded with Copic Markers in R89, and R29. I used black on the stem and white highlights on the cherry using My Gelly Roll Pen. The tropical blossoms also got some shading using RV55 and Rv09. For the leaves, I add some darker green ink using Distress Oxide Inks in Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness. The leaves were cut from various shades of green cardstock.

I assembled the elements and went back to the panel. I stamped the sentiment from the ✏️ Just A Note stamps at the top using black ink.

I felt like this card should have a little fun fringe so I cut strips of yellow and pink and hand cut slits along the bottom edge. I attached the fringe along with an 1/8″ strip of green cardstock and attached the fringe below it. This gave my drink and birds a place to rest. I attached the die cut birds and drink using foam tabs to make the elements stand out from the background to complete this card.
