My card measures 5″ wide X 7″ long. I used Neenah 80lb Classic Crest cardstock in the Solar White color for the card base. The front panel is made from a very light aqua blue cardstock.
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I embossed a light aqua blue cardstock using Floral Fans 3D Embossing Folder. I added small centers in the flowers using a Pearl Pen using a rose color. Note: Small gem rhinestone gems stickers would work as well. I attached the embossed fan design to the card base and worked on the die cuts.
I stamped and die cut the florals sentiment and the doll using BetterPress black Ink and the Blossoms & Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set (2 sets of florals), Classic Sentiments BetterPress Plate and Die Set (I used the “thank you” sentiment) and Kokeshi Dolls BetterPress Plates and Dies Set. I colored the dolls and florals using Copic Markers using R20, R22, R14, R17, R35, YG67, YG63 and YG03. I used a white Gelly Roll Pen to add the floral stamen centers. The doll uses the same colors plus B00, B000, E000, E00, E04, E11, 100, C5, C3, and C1.
Next, I worked on the fan. I cut all the pieces (backing in white, fan in light blush and fan centers in coral). I assembled the fan. I added the white bows and metallic gold sticks to complete it. I attached the elements to the card front using foam tabs under the fan, doll, large florals and the sentiment. This helps make the elements stand out and add dimension to the card.
