Hello friends. There are weddings to remember and wedding cards to remember, too! I saved a few of mine because they were just sooo pretty that I could not throw them away. I put them in my wedding scrapbook. I have had brides so the same with cards I made for them for their special day. They just mean a little more when handmade!

I was so fortunate to receive some amazing products from Sabrina at Scrappy Tails Crafts. Her dies are amazingly intricate, detailed and beautiful. Her wedding collection is phenomenal. There is so much elegance in these sets, you have to see them! Oh, the possibilities! Wedding invitations, wedding and engagement cards and even anniversary and retirements cards are possible with this collection!

I made this wedding card using the following new Scrappy Tails items:

Elegant Garden Gate Trifold Add-On For Metal Craft Die

Wedding Couple Metal Craft Die

Wedding Trifold Add-On For Metal Craft Die

Topiary Wing Trifold Add-On Metal Craft Die

Small Topiaries Metal Craft Die

Save the Date Pocket Metal Craft Die

I used Neenah 80lb cardstock for the card base and most of the die cuts. (I also used a green and black cardstock.)  I like this weight so that when you layer the cuts on the front, the card remains light enough to send with a 2 ounce stamp. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size which is more of a commercial-sized card.

To make this card, I started with a 5″ X 7″ white card base and attached the beautiful gates also cut from white cardstock to the front panel. I used a Copic Sketch Marker in E41 to add a bit of shadowing to the metal sections so they popped just a little more off the white background. I added foliage to the gate using the swag dies from the Wedding Trifold Add-On For Metal Craft Die. I cut the swags from green cardstock and added lavender pearls to the swags for “flowers.”

I die cut the bride and groom from white and black cardstock using the Wedding Couple Metal Craft Die. I used Copics to add shadows and highlights, color the hair, skin, etc. (Copic Markers: N0, N2, N3, N5, E00, E11, BV000, BV00, V01, E55, E42, E57) I attached the couple using foam tabs to make them stand out from the gate doors.

Next, I added foliage to the scene. I added a 3-tier topiary, bushes and another pot of greenery using dies from the Topiary Wing Trifold Add-On Metal Craft Die and Small Topiaries Metal Craft Die. I added coloring to the greenery. Note, you really don’t have to color anything! The greenery dies have layers of foliage for dimension. I just can’t help myself! I also die cut the outdoor pots from a natural cream cardstock with black specks. I added additional specks of white and black to make them look like stone. I also used an E42 and E43 for shadowing the lines in the dies to make them even more prominent.

I colored the bride’s bouquet and hair piece in lavenders so I wanted add more of the same color on the card. I used the tall sprig from the Save the Date Pocket Metal Craft Die as a tall vining bloomer and colored the buds and blossoms in the same lavenders and purples. I tucked them behind the shrubs, making them look like they are almost growing up on the gate. I had some extra greenery swags cut from white cardstock and added them to the three ball topiary on the right, too.

Lastly, I added the “Happy Wedding Day” die cut from the Wedding Trifold Add-On For Metal Craft Die and attached them to the foreground shrubs.
