It’s time for an IG Hop for Simon Says Stamp’s latest release, “Hello Gorgeous.” It’s filled with gorgeous stamps, dies, stencils and more! I’m using the following products from the release for my Instagram Hop card today!
CZ Design Clean Lines Stacks Set (from the prior release, the Good Luck Charm release)
My card measures 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card base. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. Here’s the details.
To create this card, I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors (48) and Canson XL Bristol watercolor paper (blue pad) for the card front. I stenciled the Tin Tile Stencil using a mix of blue/green watercolors! It’s so fun to do this and gives you this very imperfect looking design that fades in and out, showcasing the stencil design. To be honest, I find this way more artistic than using inks that give you a very clean and perfect design. There is definitely room for both looks in the art world, right?!
Next, I die cut the Tattered Leaves and Flowerful Medallion dies. The leaves were die cut from watercolor pattern papers from the Honey Bee Stamps Tie Dye pattern paper pad. The Flowerful Medallion design was cut from white cardstock. I glued the medallion die cut pieces to the front of the card front, allowing them to “fall off”/extend beyond the edges. Next, I tucked the Tattered Leaves into the medallion pieces, starting from the upper left corner and glued them in place. I like how they flow down on the side of the sentiment.
To finish the card, I stamped the birthday phrase from the CZ Design Clean Lines Stacks Set in the lower right corner to complete the front. I adhered the watercolor cardstock card front to an A7 card base made from 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock. I like to use double sided tape to attach the watercolor to the white card base for a permanent bond. This card is ready for a birthday!
