Sunflowers are wrapped up in this little bouquet framed in green gingham and spring greens on this 5″ X 7″ card. With the spring season near, it’s time to share some flowers with those you love. I’m using the the following Honey Bee Stamps products from the Happy Hearts release:

Just For You stamp set and coordinating die set

Best of Everything stamp set and coordinating die set

Opulent Frames die set

Hearts in Bloom Stencil Set (4 Layers)

Gingham – Happy Hearts Pad 8.5″ X 6″

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size. Now for the details…

Just For You Bouquet Card

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started by stenciling the pretty leaves layer which is just one layer of the Hearts in Bloom 4-piece stencil set. I used Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink with my Bee Creative Blender Brushes to stencil the leaves. I also splattered green, aqua blue and black watercolor paint over the stenciled leaves.

Working up the layers, I cut the gingham frame using the largest frame of the Opulent Frames die set and a green gingham paper from the Gingham – Happy Hearts paper pad. I also cut a frame from green cardstock and inserted the green center in the gingham frame. I used the next sized frame to cut a white backdrop for the bouquet. I splattered metallic gold ink on the white backdrop and added bronze Nuvo Drops to the circular designs and set it aside to dry.

I stamped in black ink, colored with Copics, and cut the kraft paper-wrapped bouquet and envelope from the Just For You stamp set and coordinating die set. I used the following Copic Markers to color the image:

  • Kraft paper: E44, E43, E50
  • Sunflowers: E49, E44, YR27, YR24, YR21, Y19
  • Red Blossoms: 100, R89, R29, R17, R14, R32
  • Blue Flowers: BG72, BG13, BG04, BG02, BG11, E50
  • Greenery: YG67, YG17, YG03

I attached the wrapped bouquet to the card using Bee Creative white foam tabs. Hemp twine finishes the natural look of the bouquet. I cut a corner off the envelope and adhered it to the front of the bouquet to make it look like the envelope is tucked inside the wrap. I stamped, cut, and attached the sentiment from the Best of Everything stamp and coordinating die set to the front.

Inside the card, I used another sentiment from the Best of Everything stamp set and added a few greens to the side of the internal panel for a natural touch.
