Hello crafters! I’m excited to share that I am guest designing for Papertrey Ink this month. The April release is filled with lots of fun Dad stamps and dies for the men in our lives. Here is a card I made using these Papertrey Ink’s April Release products. This card can be personalized to the sport of choice with all the option available in this release.
Look for more Dad cards coming to my blog soon!
Papertrey Ink’s April Release products:
A Little Rugged stamp set and coordinating dies
Just for Dad mini stamp set and coordinating dies (used the stamps only on this card)
Tuck It: Dad Stamp Set and coordinating dies
Just Sentiments: In Motion Mini Stamp set
Larger Than Life: Dad Mini Stamp Set
Sporty Dad
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I used the Just for Dad mini stamp set to create a pattern background in black and white. I’m using Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock. I stamped the mini designs all over the back to make this masculine pattern paper. I shadowed them with a W3. The little extra shadowing really makes them pop off the white!
I cut the DAD letters from a band of warm grey cardstock measuring 5″ wide X 2″ tall, off-centering the letters to the right. I attached the band to the front panel, 2-1/4″ down from the top edge on this A7 size card and added back in colorful letters as well as 1/8″ strips of coordinating colors in black, green, blue, and orange. I added faux, black stitching around the letters and right edge of the band. I colored around the letters using a W4 Copic Marker to make them stand out a bit more from the warm gray background of the band.
I stamped and die cut a couple of sporty elements from the Tuck It: Dad Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I used golf and tennis as my sports of choice for Dad. The golf clubs were added using glue and I attached the tennis racket with the ball on top with a foam tab to make them stand out a bit more.
