Hello, friends. There’s a new release by Simon Says Stamp called, Festive Fun. I got a few items from the release and wanted to share them with you. Here’s a few of my favorites…

Old Fashioned Christmas stamps and coordinating dies (Stamp/Die Bundle)

Abundant Leaf Background Wafter Die

My cards measure 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card front and card base. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. I also like to use foam squares to create more dimension on my cards. My white Gelly Roll Pen is my go-to for adding any white highlights. Here’s the details.

Making Spirits Bright

To make this card, I used  the Old Fashioned Christmas stamps and coordinating dies (Stamp/Die Bundle) to stamp, die cut and color the brandy / bourbon bottle and drink. I used Copic Sketch colors to color the drink using YR27, YR24, YR23, Y21, R89, R46, R29, R14, BG72, BG10, BG000 and for the ribbon, C3, C1, YG67, and YG17.

To make the scene/background, I used the Honey Bee Stamps 3D Brick background embossing folder available at Simon Says Stamp. (If sold out, you can order here.) I used red cardstock with the brick for the card front. I hand cut some white cardstock to create snowy ground-scape and tucked bottle between the snowy layers. I also added some icicles on top of the brand or bourbon bottle. The icicles are from this set here or here.  I attached the bow to the bottle, added the drink and stamped the perfect sentiment from this drink set.

I also added some greenery between the bottle and glass using the Abundant Leaf Background Wafter Die. I added red berries to the stems. Lastly, I splattered Dr. PH Marten’s white ink over the entire card front for a snowy scene!

Old Fashioned Christmas

Here’s another card using the same sets, Old Fashioned Christmas stamps and coordinating dies (Stamp/Die Bundle)

Abundant Leaf Background Wafter Die. I added berries to the stem again. The plaid paper is from this North Pole paper pad, also available at Honey Bee Stamps.

Another look… This is also a 5″ X 7″ card. The bow, drink and bottle were all colored using Copic Markers. The colors are listed above.
