Hey there! I’ve got a new product that I just found that I want to share with you today. I’m so excited about my new find that I am also offering a discount code for anyone that wants to try it, too. The product is the Chalkola Acrylic Paint Markers. See the bottom of this post for details on how to buy and save on this great find. First, let’s take a look at how I used them today on this slimline card featuring Honey Bee Stamp products.
I first created this card using products from Honey Bee Stamps Hello Summer Release and because I made a slimline card using a clear acetate front, I needed to fill the space with some type of fun design. It’s hard to draw or stamp on acetate, but these Chalkola Acrylic Paint Markers were the answer! I made simple squares using a few shades from my box of markers and look how cute it turned out! I absolutely love this simple repetitive design idea layered over this pretty blue pattern paper.
To make this card, I die cut these cute palm trees (from the Beach House Add-On die set) out of two green shades of cardstock. I wanted to keep this card clean and simple so instead of reaching for my Copics to try to add highlights and shading, I used the Chalkola Acrylic Paint Markers instead. The bright lime and green paints showed up beautifully on the colored cardstock – light and dark. I love how this turned out. I also used the markers on the trunks and coconuts, too. The fun phrase on the from is from Sea Breeze stamp set. I die cut it using the coordinating die set for a perfect cut. Pattern paper from the Beach Vibes paper pad was used for the base landscape to ground the palm trees. The black and white pattern paper is from the Back to Basics pattern paper pad.
What I love is when the card is opened, the design shows through the acetate which makes the inside pretty, too. The soothing blue/white pattern paper from the Beach Vibes pattern paper pad is revealed when opened.
To attach the clear acrylic card front to the base, I used black cardstock and double-sided tape. I like how the simple black strip at the top connects the top of the card to the bottom black/white pattern paper. A white acrylic pen was used for the stitching, too. These markers allow you to add definition to any color cardstock – including dark colors which makes designing really quick, easy and fun. The results are awesome.
More about the Acrylic Paint Markers…
My box of Chalkola Arcylic Paint Markers includes 20 fun paint markers colors. These markers can be used on all non-porous surfaces like mirrors, rocks, glass and more. The colors are very vibrant and eye-catching. They are kid safe, xylene & odor free. The markers are easy to use and offer a nice tip for even and smooth printing which I love! Think of the possibilities!
I will definitely be using these acrylics markers on future cards and posts. Stay tuned… I’ve got something fun to share later this week using these awesome markers. 🙂
