Because I know you’ll ask, the “window” die with the trees is a memory box die called, Tree Branch Circle Die. If you like this, check them all out at Simon Says Stamp. Use this link to save!  To make the background, I used Distressed Ink in Black Soot and a white chalk ink with an Altenew Cloud Stencil to make the clouds. For the opening, I used a piece of watercolor paper colored in reds, oranges and yellows. I like the cool uneven, organic look you get with watercolor pooling for this application.

The background pumpkin/leafy design, the tombstone and the bat in the sky were all colored in warm and cool grays to match the sky. I wanted to keep them in the scene, but subdued. I added color to the feature animals only, to put more emphasis on these cute trick-or-treaters.  The bubble speech was stamped, cut out and adhered to the card front using a cushion tab for dimension.  I added a cob web to the tombstone by hand-drawing one using my white gel pen. “Happy Halloween” was embossed on the front of this 5″ X 7″ landscape-oriented card to complete it.
