We’re off to see the wizard, the most wonderful wizard of all! Just follow the rainbow and the yellow brick road to Emerald City!
The Trolls of Oz is the latest release from Craftin’ Desert Divas this month. It’s filled with all the character-likes of the classic fantasy adventure film from 1939, the Wizard of Oz. I created a scene to include a winding yellow brick road that leads to the Emerald City, where the wizard lives. The cast must go under the rainbow to reach the wizard.
If you are a Wizard of Oz fan, this set is a fun one to color and create scenes. I used Copic Sketch markers to color everything. I had to revisit our DVD cover and a few Internet photos to remember all the detail of the true characters outfits. I remembered Dorothy’s red shoes and blue gingham dress, but that was about all! It’s a card that took me back a few years in memories!
Since the front of my card was so busy with a full-front scence, I used a sentiment inside the card instead. Of course, I just had to stamp Dorothy’s infamous red heels inside to highlight and create some whimsy.
Thanks for visiting! Bobbi
Now, would you like to sing along with me? Once this song is in your head…(it’s a catchy one!)
Follow the yellow brick road
Follow, follow, follow, follow
Follow the yellow brick road
The wonderful Wizard of Oz
We hear he is a whiz of a wiz
If ever a wiz there was
If ever, oh ever a wiz there was
Because, because, because, because, because
Because of the wonderful things he does
We’re off to see the Wizard
The wonderful Wizard of Oz…..
Beautiful card Bobbi! Your cards are amazing and the coloring and detail you achieve is mesmerizing! I love seeing all of your cards and I wish I had those copic skills! It would be awesome to see a video of your process! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! You made my day. I’m self taught. Anyone can do this. It’s true that the more you do it, the better your skills become. 🙂 Have a great day!
