Mae the Mouse from Honey Bee Stamps has so many freshly-baked sweet treats to share that she had to open up a pop-up bakery!  I created this scene using the following Honey Bee Stamps sets:

Mae and all her accessories (see her chef’s hat and cute apron?) is front and center inside her adorable little bakery shoppe window. Mae’s got lots of sweet treats to share. I masked the cookies and muffins to make a batch of each to display on the metal sheets. The shoppe’s wallpaper was made using the tiny solid heart from Piece of Cake as well as a striae background using Copics in RV00. The scalloped design from the cake plate was used to create a fancy scalloped border under the counter. I simply used a gray fine tip marker, Copic W3 Sketch marker and a small ruler on a light gray cardstock to create the front counter beadboard design for some interior texture.

For the outside of the bakery, I die cut a large rectangle in the card front and in another 5″ X 7″ piece in white. Between the two cutouts, I added a piece of acetate to make the window pane. I kept the outside simple to keep the focus on what’s happening inside. I did add a cute awning by lining up tab punch cutouts and adhering to a strip on the back. Using my Scor-Pal, I created two creases to mimic an actual awning for dimension. The sign out front uses the “sweets” script and die from Brie Mine. I’ve done this technique before on a prior post, but I really like how this turned out by alternating the four colors. I also added the HB2U tag inside (the only item I cut using a die from this set) as well as the inside top verse, “All you need is love and a…” from Piece of Cake.

I would not normally want to frequent a bakery with a mouse in the house, but this one is an exception. I think Mae is adorable and her sweet treats look too good to pass up! Thanks for visiting!
