I am excited to share one of the newest releases by Craftin’ Desert Divas called Make A Wish. It’s my first fairy set ever and I love it! It’s sweet, innocent, intricate and interesting all in one. These are decent sized images, too! My card here is a 5″ X 7″ card and I could barely fit all of the characters in the scene. Each fairy could be a focal point all alone on a card. I used them all because I wanted to show you all of them here. 🙂
To make this card, I started by blending distressed inks for the background in Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet. Mermaid Lagoon sandwiched the violet color. I also used the Burst stencil to create strong lines for the flying fairy. I hand drew leafy vines coming down from the top and leafy blades at the bottom using tone-on-tone to keep it subtle. I wanted the emphasis to be kept on the intricate fairies in the scene. Next, I placed my images in the scene. All of the images were colored using Copic Sketch Markers in violets and blue-greens along with a little green. All of my fairies were fussy cut. CDD has coordinating dies, but I don’t have them so I cut them by hand. Each one was popped up using dimensional cushion.
The phrase was embossed in white on teal cardstock and popped up in the upper left. I tucked a cute birdie behind for fun. Next, I added a little fairy dust using my Signo Uni-ball white gel pen to the scene. Here’s another close-up photo of the bottom half.
One last thing… Craftin’ Desert Diva’s is offering 20% off your entire order March 8-12 to celebrate the March release! You can also earn double rewards, too. Time to shop!
Thanks for visiting! I hope all your wishes come true today. 🙂
