Celebrate You Release

Simon Says Stamp just released the Celebrate You release today, May 15, 2019. I’m sharing a card I made using the stamp set, Big Birthday Greetings. This set is filled with all sorts of ways to say Happy Birthday! I decided to make mine a little silly by adding lots of candles to go with the phrase, “Whoa. You’re old.” This might be a good card for one of my “older” brothers! Here’s a few close-ups of the card.

To make this card, I stamped, colored (using Copic Sketch Markers) and cut out the individual candles. I adhered them to the bottom of my card front, cut from black cardstock. This is a 5″ X 7″ card. I added the white smoke using white pigment ink and applied it using a soft cosmetic brush. I stamped my sentiments using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder on the center front. Next, I stamped the sentiment again in black on a separate piece of white cardstock and colored in some of the letters using coordinating Copics that I used for the candles. I fussy cut out the inside of the colored in letters to the black front. A few dots were added using the Signo White Gel pen and some glossy enamel dots, too. That’s it!
