Life’s a picnic when you are spending it with the right person. I think these lovebirds or love owls feel that way on their summertime picnic. I paired a few Newton’s Nook products together to make my inspiration card for Inky Paws Challenge #101. It’s a color theme challenge using red, pink, tan and green.

To make this card, I used the following Newton’s Nook products:

I stamped, colored and die cut the owls and wine-themed images. I also added craft foam to the back of the owl pair and the wine glasses. I hand drew a picnic blanket to put on the ground to “ground” my images in the scene. I used the colors of the challenge to make the stripes for the blanket. I arranged the elements and glued them together, right on the blanket. Next, I created the scene by adding some trees in the background with Copic warm grays (gray/tan) and greens. I don’t have the land borders die set so I used my scissors and hand cut some hills to overlap in the background. The die set would be ideal here! I stamped and heat- embossed in white, the phrase on the hill.  Lastly, I added the picnic blanket full of the elements to the forefront of the card, towards the bottom.

This card is a 5″ X 7″ card. These wine images are big so you need a big blanket and card front to make this work. I hope you like it!

Now, it’s your turn to create a card using the colors of the challenge. Link your card at InkyPawsChallenge.com by 7/12/2019 and use Newton’s Nook products to be eligible to win a store credit of $20. One random winner is drawn from the entries to win.
