Fall Beauty in Blue

Happy Wednesday. I’m sharing another card using the exclusive stamp set available at Simon Says Stamp, called Fall Beauty. This stamp set was a collaborative effort with Honey Bee Stamps. It was designed by Honey Bee for STAMPtember and is only available for a limited time. It is one awesome set and can be colored in a wide array of color combos to match the season. I decided to use just grays and black for my card today. I paired it with a very light aqua blue cardstock for a clean, serene look. I hope you like it! I splattered a little black and gray watercolor on the light blue cardstock to create an imperfect background for this beautiful bouquet. The flowers were stamped on Neenah white cardstock and colored using Copic C (cool) shades of gray. I used strong black shadowing for the deepest areas of the flowers to create more depth. Simple leaves were also stamped on the background in areas around out the bouquet and left uncolored. I like the simpleness of the leaves in contrast the bolder bouquet.

I added drops of Magic Transparent in Opaque White from Viva Decor on some of the leaves and the background for more interest and dimension. I also added a bit of light blue on the flowers to match the background. There are various lovely phrases in the set. I chose, “You are beautiful inside and out. I love the style and message of this phrase.
