Happy Stamptember! Today, Simon Says Stamp released the beautiful new stamp set, Fall Beauty designed by Honey Bee Stamps for the Stamptember celebration! Stamptember is a month long stamping party filled with exclusive sets and lots of inspiration. This new set can be purchased stamp set alone or the stamp and die set combo. It’s an exclusive and limited set so when it is gone, it is gone!
This wonderful new set includes a large, beautiful floral bouquet just ready to be colored in any color scheme you like! There are five phrases included in the set as well as a singular, leaf, blossom and flower bud. For today’s card, I’m using the large bouquet, and one of the phrases included in the set.
To make the card, I used a piece of purple violet cardstock to make the 5″ X 7″ card base. I stamped the large bouquet in Versamark twice on the card base front, allowing some overlap in the middle and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. This will be my background around my colored, focal bouquet. I stamped the florals on a piece of Neenah 80lb. Solar White cardstock using black ink. I colored the florals using my Copic Sketch markers. I used a combo of YRs, Ys, YGs, Rs and Vs. The entire image was fussy cut, leaving a narrow white border around the design. There are dies for this set if you don’t like fussy cutting. 🙂
On another piece of white cardstock, I stamped another bouquet in black and fussy cut out the large center blossom only and colored it with Copics V04 and V00. I added black foam to the back of the cutout flower to “pop” it up and make the bouquet dimensional. I added a silk bow in a violet shade and tucked it underneath the dimensional blossom, adhering it with glue.
I wanted to add a phrase, but this bouquet is really big and I wanted much of it to show so I stamped the phrase, “Hello Beautiful” on a piece of white cardstock using black ink, cropped it into a small rectangle, inked the edges and added some soft graining over the letters using my Copic W0. I tucked it above my dimensional focal flower in the center. The colored bouquet was adhered in place right over the embossed design.
To complete the look, I added some white ink splatters around the embossing and a few sequins from the Harvest Festival sequin mix from Honey Bee Stamps. Love this sequin mix of colors! I also added dot of Pearl Pen to the centers of some of the flowers for added dimension.
Hey, Beautiful…If you love this Fall Beauty stamp set, go to Simon Says Stamp and purchase it today! I know this one will sell out soon. Even though the name has “fall” in it, this is a bouquet that can be used year round!
And from the words of the set… Find the beauty in every day. Happy fall!
