The new Inky Paws Challenge by Newton’s Nook Designs is a Snow Day Challenge! Make a card featuring a snowy day and share your talents with us! You have until Friday, December 13 to participate. Here’s my inspiration card featuring the following Newton’s Nook Products.
- Frozen Fellowship stamp set
- Petite Snow Stencil (with embossing paste)
- Moose Mountain stamp set for the phrase
This is a 5″ X 7″ card filled with the cutest snowmen! To make this card, I started by adding the background snowflakes using the stencil and white embossing paste. I applied distressed ink over the paste to create the blue sky.
I stamped the snowmen image once and masked the left side. I stamped again to the left to make the image wider to fit this 5″ X 7″ card. This is not necessary if you are making an A2 sized card. Next I cut it out to fit on the card front and colored it using Copic Sketch markers in greens and red-oranges. I used B000 and C1 for shading. Falling snow was added to the fronts of the snowmen using a C1 Copic marker.
A speech bubble with a saying and a few snowflakes was added to the top to finish this card. Thanks for stopping by today.
