Hi all! It’s Day 3 of the Honey Bee Stamps “Bee Mine” release.  I have two cards to share: the Pocket Full of Hogs and Kisses card (shown above) and the Post Office Box Card (shown below) in my next post. After you read this one, jump to my next post for some more love!

To make this first card, I used the following products in the new Bee Mine Release, now available to purchase.

This is a 5″ X 7″ card. I used a cardstock that has a texture to it that resembled denim. I used the direct to paper method and applied some darker blue ink to the paper for a “denim-washed” look. No need to be fussy here. Have you seen the jeans our teens are wearing?! I die cut all the elements to make a card that resembled sewn blue jeans from the back side. The cute pocket was die cut from the Stacking Pocket dies. The extra stitching is from the Pocket Full of Love stamp and die sets. This set is essential if you are getting the pocket dies! I did hand cut the belt, side stitches and belt loops using my straight edge cutter. These are all simple rectangles. White stitches were added to the belt loops, side seams of the jeans, and perimeter pocket stitching using the stitched image from the Pocket Full of Love set and white embossing powder and/or a white gel pen.  The pocket comes with stitches so for that one I just embellished the stitches in white with the gel pen and a black pen for more dimension of the stitches. The little red heart patch is also from the Pocket Full of Love set.

The pocket hearts from Heartfelt Stamps and the pig from the Bad Influence stamp and die sets were stamped, die cut, and if needed, colored in. The hearts and pig were tucked inside my cute little pocket.

I heat embossed using white embossing powder the “Pocket Full Of” phrase and the “I (heart) you” tag. All were positioned on the card and adhered in place.  To make the full phrase, I used words from the Bad Influence stamp set (“Hogs and kisses”), Kisses stamp set (“and”) and birthday wishes (“Pocket Full of Love stamp set”). The full phrase and the pocket daisy stitched design were all heat embossed in white directly on the card front to complete the look.
