O.M.Gnomes…. It’s release day at Simon Says Stamp. The newest release is called “Lucky to Know You” and it is filled with springy goodness including these cute gnomes. For this card, I used a new stamp set called, Spring Gnomes and I love it. It’s filled with three adorable gnomes, one of which has bunny ears! I’m using the the other two gnomes on my card. They are so adorable. The set includes many phrases in different fonts and a couple of hearts, too.
To make this card, I stamped colored and cut out the gnomes. There is a matching die set for the gnomes, too. I die cut a circle on my front card panel and added a watercolor sky (I made with alcohol inks) and grassy hills (made from cardstock) to create the scene setting. I stamped the floral design from the girl gnome’s hat and added a few flower clusters around the gnomes for more blossoms in the garden. I created tufts of grass using my Copic YG67. I also added hearts colored in pinks around the scene as well as three water drops for design.
Faux black stitching was added around the circle to frame it. Lastly, I stamped the greeting below the circular scene. The entire card front panel was adhered to the card base to complete this 5″ X 7″ spring card.
