Happy Friday! I’m sharing some refreshing cards I made using the Hello Sunshine stamp set by Paperie Ink. This set is so cute. I’ve made a few cards using this set before, but today I’ve created some interesting pool shapes for these pool-lounging  sweeties.

With each card, the animals are lounging in a pool in the shape of  their pool float. There’s a Popsicle, a slice of pizza and a watermelon slice, too. For the pools, I dedicated 1/2 of the surface for pool and 1/2 of the space for a festive pool deck! Each card comes in a fun shape.

One the inside, I stamped a black outline stamped image of the character and additional flowers in two sizes from the same set. The set comes with six flowers – 3 designs, 2 sizes of each.

For the Popsicle card, I used my Nesting Rounded Rectangular Infinity Dies by Hero Arts (the fourth largest size) for the Popsicle part. (Tip: Fold the white cardstock and let the die “fall off” the side edge to create the shaped folded card base.) I cut a strip of Kraft cardstock and rounded the edges on one side to create the faux wood stick. I used a white gel pen for the highlights on the treat. The “sweet” die is from Lawn Fawn. I added white craft foam to the back of the scripty die to make it dimensional. Water droplets were added in the pool using Pearl Pen Magic Transparent. This card fits into an A7-sized envelope due to the length of the wood stick.

For the watermelon card, I used the Hero Arts Nesting Oval dies for the base. (Tip: Fold the white cardstock and let the die “fall off” the top edge to create the shaped folded card base.) The Good Vibes die is by Simon Says Stamp. I used my Copics to color the water melon and the pool. Water droplets were added in the pool using Pearl Pen Magic Transparent. This card fits inside a A2-sized envelope perfectly!

For my pizza card, I used the Honey Bee Stamps Triangular Stacking Pennant dies to make the shape. Water droplets were added in the pool using Pearl Pen Magic Transparent. The “happy” script die is from Avery Elle. I hand drew the pepperonie, cheese and peppers on the pizza deck. This card fits inside an A2-sized envelope.

Beware: These cards will cool you down while making you very hungry! 🙂 Check out this card using different characters from the Hello Sunshine stamp set. You can read the blog post here.
