Who’s excited for the weekend? I know I am! We are headed to the lake for a little boating and floating time. The Weather Channel is predicting 100 degrees so water will be a necessity in order to enjoy the outdoors. 🙂 My card today features the Paperie Ink stamp set, Hello Sunshine. I’m using just two of the images and also the phrase from the set on this quick card.
To make this card, I hand drew the water background as if it was a top-down view of a pool. I used B00, B02 and B04 to create it. Next, I used circle punches to punch out the large circle floats. I used a 2″ punch for the yellow, 2-1/2″ for the orange and 2-3/4″ for the green float. With a little Copic shadowing and white highlight marks, these “donuts” are now inflatables for the pool!
Two animal floating images from the set were added to the front using dimensional tabs. Since they are smaller, I wanted them to literally stand out from the larger floats. I added the “Hello Sunshine” phrase over the green inflatable. Lastly, I added a few drops of Glass Effect Gel in blue for water drops to finish this 5″ X 7″ card.
