Hi Friends! With the autumn season around the corner, I’ve been reaching for my fall toned markers and new fall sets. My card today features a new set by Paperie Ink called “Autumn Is Calling.” It’s one of five new fall sets now available to order. Yesterday in Wisconsin it was 90 degrees and today it is 75 degrees after a late night rain shower. It certainly feels like autumn is calling us into its cool nights and shorter days.
The Autumn is Calling stamp set includes lots of accents and fall-themed items that could wrap a home in warmth and fall love. To make this card, I started by using the front door stamp, light fixture, pail and wreath from the New Home stamp set by WPlus9 as the focal point. From there, I added the adorable scarecrows, sunflowers, lots of pumpkins and the leaves. The leaves and pumpkins are included in one border stamp so there’s no masking involved here to get this look! Yay 🙂
I hand drew and colored the brick steps and the home’s siding. These are simple elements to add using a fine-tip black marker and ruler. Anybody can do this! I also hand drew the sweet little nest above the door frame for the bird. It’s just a number of lines to create a bowl-shaped design. Easy! The little mice in the pumpkins are stamps from another new fall set called, Happy Haunting. Aren’t they the cutest rodents ever?! All of these cute elements all come together to create a scene that screams “Here’s a warm autumn welcome, friend.”
