Hi Crafty friends! It’s Day 2 of the Autumn Afternoon release by Honey Bee Stamps. This release is filled with autumn love from pumpkins, plaids, fall florals to nutty squirrels, wagons, barrels, apples and more! We’ll be doing four days of sneak peeks followed by the release, Monday, 9/21 at midnight, EST. There will also be a blog hop on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9/22 and 9/23. I’ll be featuring a special project on day 1 using the new products. Today’s card features sneak peeks of the following products that are part of the Autumn Afternoon release:

Nuts About You stamp and die sets

Apple Barrel Honey Cuts

Mostly Sweet With a Few Nuts

My 5″ X 7″ greeting card starts with a watercolor background in light peach, green and yellow. Next, I stamped, colored and die cut these adorable squirrel, pumpkin and nut images from the Nuts About You stamp set. I used a white pen over my Copic colors on the squirrel tails to make them extra bushy looking! I used E4o colors – E40, E42, E43, E44 to color them in. YR colors were used for the pumpkins and both Es and YRs in the acorns. Once all of the Nuts About You images were cut out using the coordinating dies, I colored the outer edges using a W4 Copic Sketch Marker. I personally don’t like white outlines around my images because it takes away from the images themselves. W4 helps make those white borders go away.

I die cut the apple barrel and apples. I added some textures and shading to the cuts. Once the barrel was assembled, I added Nuvo Drops in bronze for the nail heads in the barrel. All of the images were arranged and assembled on the card front. A couple of the squirrels were popped up with foam tabs for added dimension. I stamped the cute phrase from the set on the front and die cut a green shadow for it, too.
