Hello Friends! Are you hungry for some sushi today?! I have a fun set to share with you from Penguin Palace. It’s called Never Give Up and it is full of some awesome goodies and a cute cafe bar with barstools, too.

Here’s a list of the products I’m using:

Never Give Up stamp set and coordinating die set

Stencils 360°™ Starter Kit (this is required to use the Hello Sunshine stencil)

Hello Sunshine Stencils 360°™

Words from the Heart stamp set

For this card, I used the new Stencils 360°™ Starter Kit and the Hello Sunshine Stencils 360°™ to make the border design. To see this new and innovative product demonstrated, you can watch this Penguin Palace video here. I used lots of colors for this one and I love it! It’s vibrant, cheerful, colorful and full of fun for anyone! Using the stencil system, I went around the guide, adding different colors of Distressed inks. When I was done, I went around again and added even more colors. You can make the intervals anything you want, just play and have fun with this!  After the border was complete and to my liking, I had this cute square card ready for a scene in the middle. The design was actually bigger (6″ square) and I cut it down to 5-1/2″ square. I used one of the trimmed portions for inside, too. (See photo below).

Next, I added my cute designs from the Never Give Up set. They were die cut out with the coordinating dies and everything was put in place. Aren’t they the cutest little food items you’ve seen?! I added a faux tile backsplash to the counter using a ruler and a fine-tip black marker. I added a little shading to the white tiles with my C3 and C1 Copic Sketch Markers.

The center squares could be menu boards, but I chose to make them windows here. I added wood graining to the hanging cabinets and the counter top and colored the barstools in orange and green to match the circular border design.

Inside, I added a colorful border using one of the trimmed edges from the 6″ X  6″ stenciled design. I added some faux white stitching to it as well. I stamped the phrase. “Happy Mail” from the Words from the Heart stamp set to the inside and a few of the food elements from the Never Give Up set to complete the look. This card could be used for a “thinking of you,” “hello,” birthday greeting and more. Any sushi lovers (like me) would love this one. 🙂
