It’s Day 2 of Previews of the October release by The Greeting Farm and we’re sharing the new stamp set, “Warm Wishes.” This set includes a boy, a girl, a cute little bear, a stack of holiday gifts, a bow and three phrases. There is nothing but total warmth in this set!

I am using a die cut in the background for of this 5″ X 7″ card from Simon Says Stamp called Birch Tree Window Wafer Die. I backed the open die with an earthy toned blue cardstock. I added accents to the birch trees using Copics in warm grays. I added some defining lines to the bottom white half for snow to ground the subjects and some additional birch trunks to the front of the die cut, too.

For the foreground, I stamped, colored and cut out the elements from the stamp set including the Warm Wishes phrase (in a square shape). I added woodgrain to the sign and “nailed” it to a birch tree in the background. Next, I placed the boy, girl, bear and gifts to the front. I added some additional branches to the top and red berries for accent. Birch trees don’t have red berries, but I think the red looks pretty with the branches so why not, right?!
