Hello, Bee Friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with two projects to help cheer in the new year! Even if we can’t be with friends this year due to the pandemic, we can still remotely celebrate together. How about a bottle of wine from your favorite winery and a Zoom call?! I plan to drop a bottle off on my friend’s doorstep this year along with a pretty card. We’ll then get together for a call and chat. 🙂

My project today includes a new year’s eve card with a pretty coordinating wine tag to match. This idea could also be used for a wedding, anniversary, new home, engagement, or retirement, too. I’m using the following products:

Happy Hanukkah stamp and coordinating die set

Raise the Glass stamp and coordinating die set

Sip, Sip, Hooray stamp and coordinating die set

Love Enclosed stamp and coordinating die set

I stamped this 5″ X 7″ card front panel all over using the pretty greenery and berry designs from the Happy Hanukkah stamp set and Memento ink in Toffee Crunch, Potter’s Clay and Desert Sand. I colored the images using Copics in E19, E17, E15, R20, R00 and W1 for shading. The wine glasses were stamped and colored in using R20, R00 and R000. They were attached using dimensional foam tabs so they stand out. The two phrases from the Sip, Sip, Hooray stamp set were stamped on softly striped 80lb white cardstock and die cut out. Both were attached to the front with dimensional foam tabs. Do you see the cute little envelope tucked in between the glasses? That’s next…

I created the mini envelope and notecard using the Love Enclosed stamp and coordinating die sets. I colored stripes on the flap using E15, R20 and R00. The card inside was stamped with the berries and a little color and glitter was added to it. A rhinestone finishes off the envelope.

Inside the card, the message reads, “love you,” embossed in white. I lined the envelope with pattern paper. I always love a little surprise inside my cards. Every time I include a little note in this sweet mini envelope, it always makes people smile. I use the Love Enclosed stamp and die sets often. 🙂

For the coordinating wine bottle tag, I stamped, colored and die cut the greenery and berries and added additional die cut backs to them using 80lb white cardstock. The backs conceal the color bleed. I punched holes in each sprig and threaded this heavier gold and white package twine through the holes and knotted the ends in the back. I purchased the twine from Ikea. It’s nice because it is stiffer and thicker than normal baker’s twine. It keeps its shape better. I added a loop at the top to attach it to the bottle’s neck.

The card front panel was attached to a card base made from 80lb white cardstock. Inside the card, I stamped some greenery on the sides to coordinate with the outside. (I used Toffee Crunch ink.) There’s still plenty of room for writing a message and/or adding a verse. 🙂
