Here’s a quick card using the one of the newer sets by Paperie Ink called Kebin the Penguin. You’ve seen me use this set before. Now, these cute penguins have “gone fishin’!”

This slimline card measures 8-1/2″ wide X 3-1/2″ tall. I created the trio window front using a die set by Trinity stamps called, Modern Embossed Panels. I created the look of very aged and weathered planks by drawing horizontal lines with a ruler and marker and then adding graining using cool and warm grays and blue Copic Markers. I also added some lines using a fine-tip black marker. I added faux nailhead on the edges. The background in the windows is a blended background using Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon Distressed Oxide Inks.

All the penguins were stamped, colored and cut out. I used cool grays for the penguins and B45, B41 and B00 for the ice, etc. Each penguin was placed in a little scene that tells a story. First they fish, then they gather and string the fish. The story just follows this long card.

Inside, the card reads, “fishing you a happy birthday.” This stamp is from a Simon Says Stamp set called, One Cool Pineapple.
