Hello, Friends. I’ve got another card to share using the new Carnival digital set by The Greeting Farm. This set is filled with all the fun things you can imagine seeing at a hometown carnival, including a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, bumper cars, prize booths, a high striker, prizes, cotton candy, popcorn and more.

For this card, I purposely gave it a slightly different twist and made my card a Valentine’s Day card. I’m using the peeps from the set as well as the booth and high striker. For the phrases and the booth’s overhead sign, I added basic text while designing my card in Photoshop. You could do this using other software as well.

My card is a 5″ X 7″ card. As mentioned, I designed the card front in Photoshop, printed it on 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it using Copic Sketch Markers. Once it was all colored, I attached the front to a 5″ X 7″ card base to complete the card.  By doing this, the color bleed from the markers is contained/hidden.

All of the elements are from the Carnival set. I also added an additional boy so that I could mix up the looks of the boys from the back. The third boy in line is from the digi set, Backs 2.  The bushes and clouds that make up the background were simply drawn in after the scene was colored. I also created the foreground using a mix of greens for the ground. This helps ground the elements in the design and also unites them into complete scene, too. This card is ready to send a sweetie!
