There’s a new release headed to Trinity Stamps store this week! I’m sharing a sneak peek of a new die set called, Rainbow Funshine. It’s filled with a big sun, a pretty rainbow and more to make skies brighter for those around you. This set will be available on Friday, April 30, 2021! Here’s some quick looks at a card I made using this stamp set.
This 5″ X 7″ card starts with a white card base made from 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock. (Note: I used this cardstock for all the dies cuts on this card.) I drew a circular design of color on yellow cardstock and die cut the sun from the piece. I layered it with a white sun shape underneath for dimension.
I die cut some clouds from the set and colored them in Copic colors: BV000, BV00, BG000, B00. I also blended Faded Jeans Distressed Ink on a piece of white cardstock and splotched water on it to make the larger blue cloudy shaped border using the Scenic Border die set for the background. You’ll notice that after letting it dry, I went back and blended in some Wilted Violet Distressed Oxide ink over it to make the border blue and purple colors to match the white blended top-layer clouds. One white cloud was layered over the blue using a Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Square to make it stand out. The other cloud eventually was tucked behind the rainbow.
For the die cut rainbow, I used two colors for each section using Copics in this order:
- V05 and V04
- BG49 and BG23
- Yg03 and YG00
- Y19 and Y15
- YR68 and Y38
- R27 and R14
The rainbow was assembled and positioned right above the darker blue border die piece.
Lastly, I die cut the hearts using the Slimline Sweetheart Panel die and colored them using the same shades used on the rainbow. I sewed them together using my sewing machine to make a string of hearts falling from the raised cloud above. I stamped the verses and added sequins in coordinating colors to match the hearts to finish this 5″ X 7″ card. Change the verse and this card could be a great encouragement, get well or thinking of you card!
The Rainbow Funshine die set will be available on Friday, April 30, 2021!
