There’s a new release at Simon Says Stamp called Make Magic. Today, I’m sharing three cards using three of the new products. Stay tuned. I have more in store in the coming days, too! I’m using these new items here:
Silhouette Sentiments and coordinating dies
In the coming days, I’ll also be showcasing the Sunny Days Ahead die, too!
Here’s one of my cards. See more on other blog posts here at BobbiHartDesign.com.
Sun Burst Birthday Card
Have you seen the new Slimline Sun Ray stencil by Simon Says Stamp? For those of you who love to make a slimline card (measuring 3-1/2″ tall X 8-1/2″ wide), this stencil is for you. It can be used on any size of card, however. I used it with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors (48) watercolor paints and Canson XL Bristol Smooth watercolor paper for a more artistic design on this card. I used a mix of yellows, golds and green paints. I painted the rays in yellow and then slightly moved the stencil to paint the open areas in a green color.
For the flowers and leaves, I used the Be Kind coordinating die set (one of my all-time favorites by Simon) and the Sketch Ranunculus stamp combination set. I heat embossed the flowers on watercolor paper, already saturated in yellows and golds. The leaves were partially painted in greens and yellows and splattered with a bit of teal paint. I love this color combination. That bit of teal really makes it in my opinion.
The leaves and flowers were attached to the card front using adhesive and Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares to make some of the flowers pop up a bit. Lastly, I added the phrases to the bottom using stamps from the set, Silhouette Sentiments .
