Hello Trinity friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a special sneak peek of the new Trinity Stamps Summer Blooms Kit to be released on Friday, August 13, 2021. The Summer Blooms Kit is filled with all things lovely to make beautiful floral cards for your summer birthdays, anniversaries and weddings. My 5″ X 7″ card today features some of the stamps, dies, and pattern papers, as well as the no-line ink cube and an assortment of the Summer Sparkles contents. There are so many possibilities with this collection of pretties!
To make this card, I started with one of the floral papers, a tone-on-tone pink rose design. Next I added some white eyelet trim using a Trinity Stamps die called Slimline Series – Dainty Scallop Edge Die Set. I used the second largest die in the set and cut it down to fit a 7″ width (See photo below). Next, I added two blue and white pattern papers from the kit to enhance the white dainty frame.
Next, I stamped some of the flower vignettes using the Ink On 3 Fadeout No-Line Coloring ink cube that comes in the kit. I used Neenah 80lb cardstock and stamped multiple sets of flowers. I colored them using the following Copic Marker colors:
Reds: R89, R24, R14, R22
Yellows: Y19, Y15, Y13, Y06
Blues: B39, B45, B41
Greens: YG67, YG63, YG61 and YG03
I also used a Gelly Roll pen in white to add the highlights and the flowers’ stamens.
To make the dimensional roses, I stamped each rose twice and cut one down as shown above. I attached the top layer using a foam tab to make them dimensional. The above photo also shows how I cut down the eyelet frame and reattached the end to fit the 7″ width. I simply overlapped the edges to make it fit my width.
I positioned and adhered my flowers to the white frame in the opposite corners. I stamped the phrase, “You’ve been on my mind” from the stamp set, A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything over one of the blue/white pattern strips. Faux stitches were added around the frame and Summer Sparkles added around the flowers to complete this card.
