Thinking of You Card
To make this 5″ X 7″ card (A7 size), I cut an A7 front panel and 10″ wide X 7″ tall card base from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock. I scored the card base down the middle to create the A7 size.
I started with the base pickup die set called, Big Pickup Tailgate stamp and coordinating die set. I stamped the truck using Bee Creative Black Intense Ink on the front panel and colored it using shades of BG Copics. (BG72, BG57, BG23, BG11, and BG10). I added grays in C5, C3, and C1 for the chrome fender and metal body. The tires were colored with darker shades of gray. The reflector/lights were done in Y19, Y08, R89, R29. I stamped, colored and die cut the leaves, apple barrel, sunflowers, pumpkins and squash on a separate piece of white cardstock using browns, yellow-greens, yellow-oranges/rusts and golds. The items were attached to the front of the card using Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue, reserving the gourd pile for the inside. I did pop up the apple barrel in the forefront with a foam tab. I stamped the “harvest” word in the license plate on the truck in black ink. The plate was colored with E40 and E42.
I stamped and die cut the “Thinking Of You” scripted word using Bee Creative Black Intense Ink. Isn’t it beautiful?! I attached the verse using Scrapbook Adhesives .25 Foam Squares in white (cut down to fit) at the top. I added shading around the truck body and tires using warm grays and browns (W5, W3, W2, W1, W0, E43) and added pebbles with a dark black marker. I also added black specks around the scripted words. To finish the front, I added the gingham pennants freehand cut from the Gingham Galore 6″ X 6″ pattern paper and glued them around a hemp twine string that I attached to the tailgate using Bee Creative Precision Glue. I used Gelly Roll white gel pen to add stitching to them, too. I wanted them to look like fabric pennants. This paper is sooooo cute for that look!
Inside the card, I added a thankful sentiment from the set, Inside Thankful Sentiments stamp set. I also had an extra gourd pile that I colored so I attached that to the inside as well as two more sunflowers to complete the card.
