Hello crafty friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a tri-fold card featuring some of the new release items from the Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Splendor release. For this handmade, greeting card, I am using the following products:

Hedgehugs stamp set and coordinating die set

Sweater Weather stamp set and coordinating die set

Sweet Stacks Circles

Grapevine Wreath die set

Cable Knit Sweater Stencil

Scattered Leaves Stencil

FRONT PANEL

To create this 5″ X 7″ tri-fold card, I started with a 10″ wide X 7″ tall piece of fuchsia cardstock folded down the center to make a 5″ X 7″ size. I completed the following to the front panel:

With the fold down the righthand side, I die cut a 3-1/2″ circle from the folded front panel (cutting through both layers) using a circle die from the Sweet Stacks Circles die set. I positioned the die 1-1/4″ inches down from the top edge and centered it horizontally.

I used the Cable Knit Sweater Stencil, Hero Hues Unicorn White ink and a Background Blender Brush to stencil the knit design on the front, again, making sure the folded side is on the left.

I embossed the phrase and the little hearts on the front using the Hedgehugs stamp set and white embossing powder.

I added white faux stitching around the window opening, using my Gelly Roll white gel pen (size 10 point).

RIGHT SWING PANEL

I cut a 10-1/4″ wide X 7″ tall ivory card base for the tri-fold. I scored 1/2″ in from the left edge to create a hinge. I scored again at 5-1/2″ from the left edge to create the 5″ wide center panel, leaving 4-3/4″ for the right side swing panel. I folded at the 5-1/2″ score line. Keeping the fold on the righthand side, I decorated the swing panel by applying the following:

I applied the Scattered Leaves Stencil design to the swing panel using Distressed Oxide Inks in Scattered Straw (layer one) and Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves (layer two). I applied more ink on some parts of the design for variation.

I stamped, colored and die cut the hugging hedgehogs using the Hedgehugs stamp set and coordinating die set. I used E55-E50 Copics to color them. In addition, I used RV69, RV09, RV55, RV02, RV00, YR27, YR24, and YR21 for the scarf.

I also die cut the Grapevine Wreath die set from a dark maroon (almost brown) cardstock.

I assembled the swing panel by positioning the grapevine wreath in the center of the front cover window and gluing it down using Bee Creative Precision Tip Glue.

I stamped the “thankful for you” phrase below the wreath using Bee Creative Intense Black Ink.

The hedgehogs were centered over the wreath and attached using foam tabs.

INTERIOR CENTER PANEL

On the inside of the ivory card base (with the fold to the right) I completed the following:

I stenciled the cable knit design using Scattered Straw and a little Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Ink.

I stamped the verses from the Sweater Weather stamp set and the leaves from the Hedgehugs stamp set over the background.

I added maroon/purple faux stitches to the top and bottom edges of the panel for a accent.

CARD ASSEMBLY

To assemble the card:

I attached the 1/2″ “hinge” from the left side of the card base to the front panel, sandwiching it between the die cut window layers. This creates the left hinge for the tri-fold card. You can see from the photo above, the hidden hinge on the left.

When the card is opened, you can see the backside of the swing panel. I added the back image of the hedghogs to the center of this inside panel for added cuteness. That makes four panels of hedgehog fun on this tri-fold card! 🙂 This autumn-flavored Hedgehugs card is now ready to give!
