Hi friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here sharing a card made for tea lovers! Today’s card and coordinating tag were inspired by a vintage tea set my grandmother gave me. My set is a beautiful aqua color with gold detailing. This year, I started drinking tea after tiring of coffee. I now drink both coffee and tea and love both. Even if you are not a tea lover, I hope you enjoy these projects.  I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Teatime Florals stamp set and coordinating die set

Foil Script: Wishes Hot Foil Plate and coordinating die set

The featured projects below are made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. I use the Bee Creative Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink Pad for all heat embossing. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

Tea Time Birthday Card

For this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped the tea set using my Bee Creative Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink Pad on Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock. I embossed the images in gold using Wow! Gold Rich Embossing powder. The tea set was colored using Copics in Y28, Y26, BG75, BG72, BG11, and BG10. I die cut the pieces using the coordinating dies. I also embossed the “Happy Birthday” script in gold using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and Gold Glimmer Foil.

I stamped the floral images using Bee Creative Intense Black Ink and colored them with Copics using YR27, YR24, Y19, YR21, BV08, V04, B00, YR07, YR68, R27, R24, R14, E44, E43, E50, and BG72. I stamped the individual flower in the set and attached it to the floral spray using a foam tab to make the bouquet dimensional. I also added teal gem stickers to the teapot and cup for a little bling action.

For the card’s background, I splattered some aqua and teal watercolor paint on the white cardstock and added a piece of pattern paper at the bottom. All of the Tea Time Floral images were glued in place. Finally, I added some iridescent sparkly gems to the background to accent the design.

Tea Bag Gift Tag

I thought it would be fun to make a coordinating gift tag in the shape of a tea bag. I used a basic tag shape die like these tags and colored it to look like a tea bag. I added twine string and a small paper tag made from the same pattern paper used on the card.

I stamped, embossed, and colored another teacup and some florals and the phrase and attached it to the tag. A few iridescent sparkly gems for steam and teal sparkles on the cup finish off this tea bag tag. 🙂
