We are celebrating the new Honey Bee Stamps  release called Simply Spring with an Instagram Hop. This release is filled with pretty spring birds, greens, eggs, cartons, baskets, bud vases, wreaths, and more! Today on the Instagram hop, I’m featuring all the new garden vegetables that are part of the Lovely Layers: Veggies Honey Cuts set. My card features the following new products:
The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size. Now for the details…

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I first started by die cutting all the vegetables and adhering them together to make the cute vegetables you see on the card, approximately 2 of each. I used the Lovely Layers: Garden Veggies Honey Cuts dies  and the Lovely Layers: Carrots Honey Cuts dies. I used Copics to enhance some of the intricate lines in the dies, too. I also added some shadowing on the vegetables using a darker Copic Marker color over the colored cardstock. I did the same for the rattan basket. I filled it with several colorful vegetables.
To make the background, I used a warm gray cardstock. With a T-ruler and fine-tip black marker, I drew lines 1/2″ apart to create a gray shiplap background for a farmhouse style look. On each black thin line, I added shading in W3 and W1 to add some depth and dimension to the board seams. I also splattered on some black watercolor paint to “dirty” it up a bit. For the “farmer’s market” sign, I cut a piece of white cardstock to fit the design I was going to stamp on it and matted it in black cardstock. I used Copic Markers in W3 and W1 to create a woodgrain look then stamped the cool sign design over it. I added bronze Nuvo dots in the corners to look like nail heads, too.
