A New Release By Alex Syberia Designs

There’s a new release in town and it is brought to us by Alex Syberia Designs. I was so delighted to participate in this release. I love so many of these sets and could not wait to make some cards with them. I’m using the following Alex Syberia Designs products on the cards shown here. I’ll be sharing each card in more detail over the next week or so. Here’s the full list of items:

Today I’m sharing this fun card featuring the Paradise Birds stamp set and coordinating dies, Rainbow Sentiments stamp set and coordinating dies and the Confetti Stencil Set.

This 5″ X 7″ card begins with a stenciled background of red, yellow, blue, green and orange. It’s a festive background of bright and bold colors. The stencil set has five layers, allowing five colors, too. 🙂 Once the background was done, I added 1/8″ strips of white, red and orange on the top and bottom for a clean finish.

Because the background is busy and bold, I added a circle of vellum to the middle to soften the background design for the focal point bird. I attached the vellum using a foam dot to make the vellum stand out. I stamped, colored and die cut the bird from the Paradise Birds stamp set and coordinating dies. I stamped and cut out the sentiment from the Always Be Yourself stamp set and coordinating dies. I die cut several cuts and glued them together to make both of them thicker. The bird and sentiment were added to the center of the vellum. Lastly, I added Pearl Pen in a matching aqua blue from the background and applied the dots around the vellum, allowing a few breaks. I like the imperfect look of the border. This card is ready!
