Hello friends! Simon says stamp has a new release called, Season of Wonder. The release is filled with holiday, funky retro, florals and more. My cards feature the following products:

Rustic Sprigs die

Falling Leaves Embossing Folder

Just Batty stamp set

3D Box Stencil

My cards below measure 5″ X 7″ and fit inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card fronts and card bases. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. Here’s the details.

Falling Leaves Sympathy Card

For this 5″ X 7″ card, I used the Falling Leaves Embossing Folder for the background. I added Distress Oxide Ink in fall tones and splattered water over the ink. I blotted it with a paper towel to make the background splotchy. I also splattered watercolor paint over it in brown. I did a similar process on the green band 2/3 down on the card. To make the band look like ribbon, I added white faux stitching using a white Gelly Roll pen.

On the bottom of the card, I used Honey Bee Stamp’s Burlap Embossing Folder for a burlap faux look. I used various brown inks to “dirty” up the burlap. I used one of my older, dry white Gelly Roll pens to add the white markings.

I die cut the springs in white, added some softer green and dark brown on some of the leaves/stems using a Copic YG63 and E49.  Small copper pearl gem stickers attached around the springs and a sentiment from the the Sympathy Greetings Mix stamp set stamped in black ink complete this card.

Rustic Sprigs Sending Prayers Card

My next 5″ X 7″ card features a watercolor wash background in shades of green and yellows. I added Rustic Sprigs  in green and Holly Sprigs in brown. Using a brown marker, I hand drew in some bare branches and added white berries to the bare branches. I stamped a sentiment from the Sympathy Greetings Mix stamp set in black ink to complete this card.

3D Box Stencil Birthday Card

Lots of Distress Oxide Ink colors were used to make this card featuring the new 3D Box Stencil set. There various designs you can create using this stencil. I added sprigs in white and hemp twine to the front. I also added “birthday wishes” at the bottom. This sentiment is from the XL Birthday Greetings stamps.

Here’s some ideas of what you can do with this stencil. I received this from a Simon Says Stamp Designer, Miriam Prantner, and I found it to be super helpful when deciding on what I wanted my background to look like. The key is that you have to turn the stencil around (aka flip it) to make all the shapes turn into boxes.

Just Batty Fall Tags

Lastly, I made these two tags featuring the Just Batty stamp set and the Rustic Sprigs die . The tag is from the Hero Arts Nesting Tag dies.
