
Here are the instructions to make this 5″ X 7″ interactive card. First, the background is made using stamps from the Above Ground set.
- Stamp the background on a 5″ X 7″ card front panel using the the leafy greens stamps (2) from the Above Ground stamp set. Use Pinefeather ink for the small leaves and Simply Chartreuse ink for the taller leaves.
- Splatter black watercolor ink over the card front using a fan brush.
- Attach a strip of green cardstock 3/4″ tall X 5″ wide to the bottom of the card front.
- Die cut the elements of the Above Ground raised garden bed box. Color the wood planks for the front using brown tones to mimic woodgrain. Shown here is E53, E44, E55, E42, W2 and E57. Add liquid pearls or Pearl Pen in black to the corners to represent nail heads. Assemble the bed.
- Stamp vegetables using New Leaf ink. Use Pure Poppy ink for the tomatoes and Summer Sunrise for the yellow peppers. Enhance the stamping using a darker shade markers to add more depth to the plants and vegetables. Die cut the stamped plants using the coordinating dies.
- Die cut grass 5 times – two for the front of the bed, one for the back of the bed to cover up plant stems and two for the grassy area under the bed, attached to the green strip. Color the grass using various shades of green such as Copic Markers, YG67, YG17, YG03 and G29.
- Die cut the sign and post and color using the same woodgrain colors used on the bed’s planks. Stamp one of the sentiments on the sign.
- Die cut two trellis pieces for the back and shade them using the woodgrain marker colors.
- Assemble the raised bed, adding in your favorite plants and the sign.
- Attach the bed to the card front.
- Attach the grassy strips right above the bottom green strip to “ground” the bed in the scene.
- Attach card front to a white card base measuring 7″ tall X 10″ wide and scored down the middle for an A7 card base.
- This bed will fold flat on the card front for mailing!
