Hi there! Have you made a gatefold card lately. I have not until I made this one. I love a gatefold for its unique look and pretty opening. The card I made today features the following Brass and Bliss Craft Company products from its newest release, “Sweet Wishes.” I am using:

🩵 Vase of Blooms stamps and coordinating dies
🩵 Victorian Label Nested dies
🩵 Circle of Celebration stamp set

For the basics… my Brass and Bliss Craft Company  featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I first created the gatefold base by cutting a piece of cardstock 10″ wide X 7″ tall. I scored the piece at 2-1/2″ and 7-1/2″ from the left edge (or 2-1/2″ in from both sides will do the same). I folded in the front gates and splattered turquoise watercolor over the front panels. I also stamped the “happy birthday” seal design in a teal color using a stamp from the Circle of Celebration stamp set. Next, I die cut two labels using white and teal cardstock and the Victorian Label Nested dies. I attached the white one on TOP of the left side gatefold. I attached the teal one to the BACK of the left gatefold, sandwiching the left gatefold. I allowed the teal piece to “shadow” the white by extending it further out.

For the focal point, I stamped, colored and die cut the vase of flowers using the Vase of Blooms stamps and coordinating dies. It’s so pretty. I just love this design. I colored it in, only filling the vase with 1/3 amount of water so you can see the vase is clear v. opaque. It’s important to allow the water to look lighter as you reach the rim of the water at the top to make it look like water.

I attached the vase of flowers to the label using the Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tabs. I also stamped, die cut and attached the sentiment from the same set. I sprinkled a little more watercolor paint around the sentiment, too.
